Ken Lolla, indeed, has set lofty goals for his University of Louisville soccer team, including an NCAA championship. Next comes the Big East Tournament next week, the first round at Cardinal Park.

But first he wants his team to celebrate for a day or two.

Playing without three starters, the UofL put the finishing touch on an undefeated regular season and Big East Conference championship Saturday with a 3-1 win over a very stubborn Villanova team.

Colin Rolfe would score the go-ahead goal in the 78th minute to put the Cards up 2-1. But he wasn’t done yet, adding a second goal in the 83rd minute to cement the victory and another milestone in UofL soccer history — 14-0-2.

Louisville was playing without three injured starters, including leading scorer Dylan Myles, Charlie Campbell and Austin Berry.

Let the celebrating begin:
