Victor Anderson forgot there was a new video scoreboard in the south end zone late in the first quarter of the Louisville-Kentucky football game.

With a clear field ahead of him, Anderson is 50 yards into what could have been a 100-yard kickoff return. But at that point he turns his head around to see who’s chasing him.

Four times he looks back, slowing him down, almost stopping, then reversing direction. Down he goes, 33 yards short of his goal.

The video board would have told him what he needed to know, what to do, just keep running, straight ahead.

Anderson, who gained 32 yards in eight carries from the line of scrimmage, told his many followers on Twitter Tuesday that he was disappointed in his effort against Kentucky.

Also, that he was through tweeting and was going to remove his Twitter account.

  1. I had the pleasure of watching Victor during his years at St. Xavier. He could get away with moves like that during high school games, but he needs to snap out of it and realize it doesnt work at the college level. He and Powell each have something that the other one needs. Anderson cuts too much and Powell doesnt cut enough.
