Translation: Needs tons more repetitions in practice.
Then there are the games, a whole different learning curve.

  1. i think that’s a good fit for josh considering that height poses a huge threat for linebackers but his hands will have to be like a jamie asher or Richard owens. I liked Ronnie ghent as well.

  3. My guess is that since they are in the spread he will be a tightend that goes in motion and essentially becomes a WR which is a terrible mismatch 1 on 1 for a LB or Safety. My opinion

  4. Just don’t see him as an effective tight end. When I think of talented tight ends in the past at Louisville…Jamie Asher, Richard Owens…guys with that type of body style come to mind. I have a hard time seeing the tall and fairly thin Chicester containing a 6’5′ 280 lb. defensive end intent on creating havoc in the Cardinal backfield.

    1. I am in no way doubting the new and still undefeated coaching staff but Paul raises a good point. I’m still trying to figure out how a 6’8″ guy can get low enough to block a D-lineman. Maybe they will sew in a horizontal pleat or two.

  5. I think that IU promise was about three administrators and five athletic directors ago. Now if Tom Jurich had taken the job, maybe there would have been a possibility of the series occurring. Doubt there’s any record of it on the Bloomington campus. IU probably doesn’t want to admit how far Louisville has advanced since those days, what the late eighties?

    1. Yeah. That sounds right. Now they’re marketing on Louisville TV stations. Let’s set-up a future series. C’mon Hoosiers … it would pack ’em in at both stadiums!

  6. Memo to Josh: Git Er Done! P.S. Hey Charlie, Now that PJCS holds well in excess of 50,000 …. doesn’t IU owe us two games here?
