Kids and grandkids have opened their gifts, all of them, hitting the road to be home for the big day and the arrival of Santa Claus. Plenty of University of Louisville gear under the tree, maybe too much.

Christmas Eve, all is quiet and peaceful at the observer’s abode. A time to reflect on the meaningful things in life, the people who make it that way.

Thanks to all the University of Louisville fans who are regular visitors to Card Game, the folks who share the ups and downs that go along with being a Cards fan. There’s a special place in the observer’s heart for each of you. Some of you just stop by to catch up on a Cards’ fan’s thoughts. Others regularly comment and we greatly value your contributions and feedback.

Sometimes we are overly positive, sometimes a little too critical, at other times a little crazy, sometimes inane. We just enjoy being fans and hope that in some small way our contributions make U of L a stronger and better university. We all have that in common. Thanks for caring and sharing.

Merry Christmas.

  1. Merry Christmas to the readers of UofL Card Game and to you, Charlie. You are the standard that good sites should learn to emulate and aspire to be like.

Enjoy the season and remember the reason…god bless you one and all.

  2. Charlie, you’re the guy I want playing Santa Claus and filling my stocking. Cheers to you on Christmas.

    1. Mary, the Observer has been playing Santa at our house for a long time and has it down to a fine art! Merry Christmas and thanks for being there. Mrs. S

  3. Proud to have found this site a couple of years ago. It gives me my daily fix. Merry Christmas, observer!

  4. This is the first place I check after games to see what the observer is thinking. Sometimes with angles that never would have occurred to me. Definitely not the typical garbage on message boards. Merry Christmas everybody.

  5. …and Merry Christmas to you and yours! Don’t sweat being ‘too’ anything–just be yourself and continue to pour that out on the blog. It’s always informed and interesting. Sometimes it’s even right! (just kidding). Peace to you and all the readers. Even Duke and UConn fans. For one day, anyway…
