Information is like money. The more we have, the more we want.

Hate it when the Internet service goes out of commission. Thanks to the late Tuesday night storm, the observer’s day veering sideways, waiting for the connection to resume.

No consulting for a while, and playing the video game Airborne gets old quickly. One can only get killed so many times, forcing one out of the house to the nearby Pizza Hut to get the Internet fix, make a post. The Middletown franchise, he discovers, doesn’t have a router but the Valvoline lube station next door does. If you sit by the right window, you’re in luck.

How little we knew what we were missing for so many years. Remember relying primarily on radio and television for news about University of Louisville athletics? The newspaper wasn’t much better. There is no better source than the Internet. The ability to communicate with each almost instantly via blog sites, message boards, Twitter and other sites should never be taken for granted.
