The Governor’s Cup news conference, you know the one where Charlie Strong and Joker Phillips go on and on about how much they like each other, is scheduled next Thursday at 12:30 p.m. at the University Club in Lexington.
The stated purpose is to discuss the upcoming University of Louisville-Kentucky football game on Sept. 17, two whole months from now.
The real goal is to get many U of L and UK fans thinking about something other than basketball.
