A roar erupted as Russ Smith rose from his seat in the sixth inning at the University of Louisville game against Western Kentucky University. He had largely gone unnoticed until then. But a crowd of admiring autograph seekers followed him to the concourse. Russ was his usual jovial self, gladly signing a wide variety of souvenirs, including Final Four T-shirts. U of L won the baseball game, 9-2.
