“My word is my bond.”

So sayeth Rodney Purvis a week or so ago.

Over the weekend, however, the 10th-ranked prospect in the 2012 basketball recruiting class withdraws his verbal commitment to the University of Louisville, claiming to be shaken by the move of former assistant Tim Fuller to Missouri.

But he still wants Rick Pitino to continue recruiting him.

Good luck with that.
