The day that many of us wished for, dreamed of, fought for and often bumped our heads against the wall in frustration about for many years has finally arrived.

The 2014 schedule for the University of Louisville football team is the strongest and most attractive in the program’s history. Big time, power conference schedule.

No more fruitless telephone calls by Tom Jurich to get respectable teams without any callbacks. From now on, UofL can be the school ignoring the calls.

No more reason for anyone to claim UofL doesn’t play anybody.

No more dull, lifeless schedules like the one from the past season.

Atlantic Coast Conference, here we come. Notre Dame at South Bend, you bet. National champion Florida State, yep, at home! Kentucky, concluding the season.

Unbelievable. Here to see it happen:

Two weeks each to prepare for Florida State and Notre Dame. Can’t get much better.

  1. An incomparable football schedule that will have a tremendous impact on our fall activities at UofL. Like you, Charlie, I absolutely love it!
