Third baseman Phil Wunderlich hit two home runs, his fifth and sixth of the season, to lead the University of Louisville baseball team to a 9-7 win over Indiana Tuesday, extending the team’s record to 12-0

Providing the winning hit, however, was freshman Cade Stallings for the second game in a row. His two-run double broke a 7-7 tie in the bottom of the eighth inning.

Gabriel Shaw, who relieved Matt Lea in the eighth, was credited with his third win of the season.

Here’s video of Wunderlich’s second home run, tying the game 7-7 in the bottom of the eighth:

  1. Nice win for the Cards today in the come from behind rally. Was listening on the radio. Still wonder why we have to listen to the UofL Bat Cards on KOOL 1570 when we have our own Cards Radio on 790?

  2. What a special afternoon, sitting there in the shadow (if there had been sun) of PJCS, whiling away the hours until our basketball Cards play in MSG, enjoying our baseball Cards extending their win streak!
    GO CARDS!
