One of a few bright spots for Shoni Schimmel against Georgetown, connecting on one of her three-point makes Tuesday at the Yum! Center. Her Louisville women’s basketball team led 30-19 at the intermission, but suffered a 35-point turn-around in the second half of a 76-52 loss. Shoni collected 11 points but she also had 10 of Louisville’s 30 turnovers. Back to basics, ladies. Another great crowd, though, clicking in at 10,011.

  1. In all fairness, that was the toughest 3 guard combo Louisville has faced or will face this year. Yes, I’m including UConn, UT. UK, ND and DePaul. Louisville has no answers for their multiple full court presses.

  2. In my recollection that’s the most monumental second-half collapse in program history. WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED????

    1. I’m not seeing much intensity or grit. The top five recruiting class stuff hasn’t yet converted to real time. They’re playing hard but they are also playing too nice and taking pride in their looks. Not much toughness or fight … yet.
