Even the observer needs a break once in a while, taking a chance on breaking the bank in Las Vegas the past few days. The slot machines were ringing 24 hours a day, but the only dollar signs were those disappearing into the bowels of the money machines. Among the wonders one must see in Last Vegas, and it’s free, are the Ballagio Fountains (click on photo to enlarge). And, no, we didn’t see Rick Pitino watching 2013 recruit Quentin Snider at the basketball camp. Good to be back in the Ville.

  1. Hope you got by the Gold And Silver Pawn Shop, my favorite stop in Vegas. They may have had some old UofL memorabilia for sale, featuring Petrino, Smith or HWMNBN. What a collectors item that would be–a poster signed by all 3! How good is it to come home knowing that CCS is large and in charge, doing things the right way?! Go Cards!
