March Madness is upon us.

The University of Louisville women are seeded No. 2 in the pairings announced today for the Big East Women’s Basketball Tournament which begins Friday at Noon in Hartford, Conn. By virtue of its second place finish during the regular season, Louisville received byes for the first two rounds.

The Lady Cards, with their 27-3, 14-2 conference won-lost record will not play until Sunday at 6 p.m. Their most likely opponent will be Rutgers, which plays the winner of the first-round Georgetown-Seton Hall game.

The U of L game will be telecast on ESPNU.

  1. Sonja will have a game by game breakdown of the first and second rounds and her prognostications ofthe rest of the BE Tourney tomorrow.

    I’m doing some statistical researrch for her while she’s at work tonight. Fifteen games this year. First round ought to be very interesting.
