Angel Nunez, who is headed for the University of Louisville, had an apprehensive look in his eyes, having agreed to serve as a prop for Deuce Bello in the dunking competition Thursday at the Night of the Future Stars.
Bello, who committed to Baylor, wanted to leap over a 6-foot-7 obstacle on his way to the basket. Amazingly, Bello was able to clear Nunez but the basketball ricocheted off the rim.
Bello wouldn’t get a second attempt, however. Game officials, or maybe a concerned U of L representative, made certain Bello got only one shot at that stunt, aware of the Cards’ recent injury-riddled past. Here’s the video:
