“We’re looking forward to the opportunity to play in an outstanding facility like Great American Ball Park and promote college baseball on a national stage,” said Louisville head coach Dan McDonnell. “The baseball rivalry between the University of Louisville and the University of Cincinnati dates back to 1924 and this game should add another exciting chapter to that history.”
The Reds Collegiate Invitational is an opportunity to introduce college baseball to a larger fan base, as eight of the 10 highest attended games in collegiate baseball history have been played at Major League Baseball stadiums since the 2004 season.
This is a great idea, but lets hope the basketball team will be playing that day!
Normally, a no-brainer. Our diamond boys playing in GABP!!!! A definite road trip….except….I hope to be with the family in Cardlanta cheering on Rick and the other boys in the Final Four!! Tickets are already in hand…courtesy of the NCAA lottery.
Life is full of scheduling conflicts and choices. Let the lobbying begin to put the Final Four game on the Jumbotron during the baseball game.
Congratulations on those Final Four tickets, Tom.
