Had the baseball season started Monday, Jim Patterson Stadium would have almost been ready.

The construction crews were putting the finishing touches on the expanded stadium, painting the new visitors’ locker room, cleaning up the party deck, hammering things into place in the hospitality and press suites.

Inside the batting cage on the field, an assistant coach was batting grounders to infielders, pitchers and catchers were warming up.

Jim Patterson has a great new look and feel — field level and party deck level.
