Had to be in the crowd at Lexington last week.

Kyle Bolin

Kyle Bolin, one of the top quarterback prospects in Kentucky, made a verbal commitment to play football at the University of Louisville as a member of the class of 2013.

According to C-J’s Jody Demling:

Bolin started under center at LexCath as a sophomore and Knights’ coach Bill Letton said that Bolin has made a lot of strides this season. He threw for just over 2,300 yards and 18 touchdowns a year ago … Through five games, Bolin has completed 85 of 150 passes for 1,251 yards and 12 TDs. He has also run for 129 yards and four scores.

The Trinity football crowd had a good look at Bolin as a sophomore last season:

My best game was when we played Trinity High School … Before the game started the coach told me to get our offense to 35points. After the game, I ended with 5 passing touchdowns and 2 rushing touchdowns. I threw for 350 yards and ran for 175 yards. We lost the game but it was one of the best games of my career.

We’ll be checking out those box scores from now on.
