Screen Shot 2013-05-30 at 9.34.39 PMUniversity of Louisville soccer coaches Ken Lolla and Karen Ferguson-Dayes have reason to smile, having helped to break ground Thursday on the new 5,300-seat Mark and Cindy Lynn Soccer Stadium at Cardinal Park.  Construction on the state-of-the-art facility will begin on June 3, with completion anticipated in August of next year. TEG is the architect for the project, while construction will be done by Abel Construction. The stadium will be located on Floyd Street just across from the UofL football practice fields.

UofL is still seeking donations to complete the $17 million-plus project, which needs an additional $2.5 million to be fully funded.
