Chelsea Bemis is all smiles after her University of Louisville softball team defeated Notre Dame 6-0 Friday in the semifinals of the Big East tournament at Dan Ulmer Field. The U of L third baseman knocked a three-run home run in the third inning to put the Cards up 4-0.

Notre Dame’s Big East MVP pitcher Brittany O’Donnell, who had a 10-0 record coming into the game, was tagged with her first loss. Winning pitcher Tori Collins allowed the Irish only only four hits. Louisville plays Syracuse for the championship Saturday at 5 p.m.
