Her role will be increased for Louisville now that 6’5″ center Quaneisha McCurty from Dalton, GA. has switched her commitment to Indiana from Louisville. In the All-American game last night, Hammond had five blocks and three rebounds. The East wouldn’t share the ball with her, though, and she only got (2) shots off…missing both. They played her at both high post and shooting guard…and she set up high game scorer Elizabeth Williams, a Duke signee, for several of her game high 23 points…a new McDonalds Girls All-Star game record.
Hammond will be an impact player at the ‘Ville before her time is through…
I didn’t realize that she’s a lefty. Cool. I look forward to seeing her play in person for the Ville.
