Editor’s note: The writer picked U of L to beat Rutgers so …

The University of Louisville football team has five games remaining. In order to get to a bowl game, the Cards need to win three of the remaining five. Difficult, but not impossible.
First up, a surprising Syracuse team visits Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium on Saturday for one of those despicable noon kickoffs. The Cuse shocked the world by man-handling WVU last time out in the Carrier Dome. The Orange won’t blow Louisville out by 21 … but the Cards will need another excellent defensive performance like they produced against Rutgers to win. I say they get it, and improve to 4-4.
Second is a trip to Morgantown to face the Moutaineers. U of L hasen’t had much luck up in wild and wonderful West Virginia lately and I don’t see that changing. WVU wins, Cards go to 4-5.
Next, a hard to predict Pittsburgh squad visits Louisville for the final home game. The Cards haven’t won against
the Panthers since 2007. They put one in the “W” column, though, and go to 5-5.
Louisville travels to Connecticut for a showdown against the Huskies on November 19th. The Huskies are the weakest of these final five for Louisville and the Cards get bowl qualified with a win.
Finally, U of L travels to face the South Florida Bulls in Tampa, a place in which they have yet to win . That trend holds, the Cards finish 6-6.
Another trip to the Beef O’ Brady St. Pete Bowl? Sounds good to me.
Sound good to me Paul but it can’t happen unless we change the 16 ppg.
