Anthony Conner

Play comes to a halt for about 20 minutes during the Louisville-Rutgers football game Friday when Louisville cornerback Anthony Conner is injured,  his helmet hitting the knee of Rutgers receiver Mohamed Sanu on the first play of the second quarter. The Rutgers players, at top,  gather, kneeling on the field in a sign of respect and concern for the fallen U of L player. They remember well the experience of Eric LeGrand, a Rutgers player who was paralyzed last season. Connor is reported to have suffered a broken neck but isn’t paralyzed. Click on photo to ENLARGE. 1. Hang in there Anthony. All of Cardinal Nation is praying for you and we greatly appreciate you sacrificing your body to play the game you love and entertain us. I would love to see you coaching in some capacity in the future for the red and black.

  2. Cards sure to be dedicating the rest of the season to AC.He’s a tough kid and a good example for the younger players. We all wish him a speedy recovery.
