St. John’s will be the opponent for the University of Louisville baseball team in the second round of the Big East Tournament at 8 p.m. Thursday.

The good news is that pitcher Kyle Hanson, who held U of L to five hits in a Louisville loss at Jim Patterson Stadium, will not pitch. He was on the mound in St. John’s 3-2 win over South Florida Wednesday. The bad news is that Jeremy Baltz, who had four home runs in that earlier matchup, will be back.

  1. Well, they can’t knock us out bc it’s double elimination but they can send us to the losers bracket.

We will be smarter tonite against them.

  2. After watching St John’s play U of L at the Pat this year, I told Tom that they are THE team I fear the most to knock us out of the Tournament. We’ll see – hope we come out smokin’ hot! Go CARDS!
