Don’t have the name of the opening game opponent for the Downtown Arena yet but we do know that Marshall University will be among the early opponents in November.

The Charleston (WV) Daily Mail reported today that the University of Louisville and Marshall basketball teams will square off on Nov. 27, two days after Thanksgiving in Louisville.  The no-return date provides an $80,000 guarantee to Marshall.

Marshall has a new coach in Tom Herrion, who spent the last three seasons as an assistant to Jamie Dixon at Pittsburgh.[/stextbox]
