Nooner kickoff for Louisville-Syracuse

November 05, 2012 | | Comments 7

Starting to resemble a trend.

ABC/ESPN has done it again, set the kickoff time for the University of Louisville vs. Syracuse football game for noon Saturday.

The concern is that a noon start seems inevitable for UofL’s final home game against UConn on Nov. 23. That will definitely create a major hurdle for UofL setting a new attendance record this season.

Many Louisvillians sleep late on Saturdays. By the time some of them start moving around, they’re lost causes at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium.

It’s money that matters and as long as ESPN is waving dollars at the BIG EAST, they’ll prostitute themselves. I’m certain Jurich, the coaches and team would prefer a 3:30 start. I’d prefer a 7:30 start.

WE don’t matter. The Four-Letter Network knows what’s best for you.

    Hey Charlie,
I think you have a spambot problem. Though I’m not really sure as to what their end game is seeing as they are referencing political statements, book reviews, and FEMA.

    • Must be election day, Dave. What’s life without a few challenges?

      • Dave says:

Ha, yeah I said the same thing when they announced Joker was leaving! I guess you should be proud, you usually only see this kind of bot on big name sites like CNN, ABCNEWS, CBS etc. Looks like you’ve reached the big time Charlie!

        • Charlie says:

I’m thrilled, Dave. Do you do any coding?

          • Dave says:

Yeah I do actually. Just not much of the web-based variety. See if you can see a pattern, grab the key phrases put the ~ on them and require offended posts to be manually approved, also might want to exclude cardinal related words/phrases such as coach, strong, pitino, football, Rick, Charlie, Springer, baseball, Soccer, basketball, arena, stadium, BCS, Louisville, Cardinals, Cards, card, UofL and U of L for example. Best of luck vs. the bots!
