  1. Just following up on my big sis’s post above. I’ll be watching the game here in Jasper today. We go to a game day party too. Ours has more IU fans at it than Cards or Cats. Most of them want UofL to beat UK. Some are just attending for the food and fun. At least we get to watch some good basketball today. Our Hoosiers season has been pretty dismal. Fight on you mighty cardinals cause we sure can win this game.

  2. I’m not a college sports bettor. I prefer my wagering interest to be on the four legged athletes with the little guys on their backs. Nevertheless, I note with interest that the Cards are an eight point favorite going into today’s game. I think it is too high a point spread. UofL wins this one, but in a nailbiter. Let’s call it 77-74 Cards, but it could easily be 57-54.
Don’t think this game still has any interest? I left Mass this morning and it was more of a topic of conversation that Father’s sermon. And Father’s had a better year than either team. Reminds me of the old Babe Ruth story, when a reporter asked the Babe to comment on his $75,000 a year paycheck, which was more than the president of the United States made. The Babe winked and replied:
“Yeah, but I had a better year than he did last year.”

Regardless of the outcome today, it’ll send the pressure cooker fan base that is UK into one of two situations…boilover and panic in the kitchen. Or a pressure release that will tempt the diners with it’s savory smell and whet their appitite. I hope we win, but I won’t explode if we don’t. After all, we already won the big hoops contest earlier this season when UofL thumped the Lady Kitties in the Hall. This is just sauce on the goose if we win today. At least for 1% of us out here. GO CARDS !

  3. Wishful thinking, Jeremy. Cats are gonna win this one. Too much slacking going on in the Ville.

  4. It’s all about who shows up to play Sunday. Both of these teams have had a lot of days off this season. I think it’s UK’s turn for a day off.
