So Rick Pitino isn’t exaggerating when he says the University of Louisville-Notre Dame basketball game is the most important in the school’s history.

Saturday’s game does have special significance, with a possible Big East title at stake, a No. 1 seeding in the conference tournament, and a high seed in the NCAA brackets.

Why doubt the coach.
