Down to the wire again.

Tony Wroten, Jr., a highly-regarded 6-foot-4 point guard from the Seattle area, will make a verbal commitment to either Louisville or Washington Thursday at 6 p.m.

The Seattle Times wondered how things are going:

Q: Have you made your big decision yet?

Wroten: No, I’m still undecided until Thursday at 3 p.m.

Q: [Very leading] Watching guys like Brandon Roy, Nate Robinson, Tre Simmons, Will Conroy all go to UW, do you feel pressure to follow in their footsteps?

Wroten: No pressure at all. I’m going to do what’s best for me.

Q: What coaches have been in contact with you in the past 48 hours?

Wroten: Louisville, Louisville, Louisville. For real.

Q: How are you doin’? Nervous? Excited? A little of both?

Wroten: I’m just fine right now, but I know the closer it gets to my decision I’ll have butterflies in my stomach.

Q: What color do you like better, red or purple?

Wroten: I love purple, but I’ve been wearing a lot of red lately.

Going to do what’s best for him. Hopefully for Louisville, too.

  1. Hey Charlie, I pasted this from the Seattle Times…
On his Twitter page, Wroten recently posed a question to Kentucky coach John Calipari, saying “@UKCoachCalipari aye coach. I just wanna know why u stopped recruiting me?”
… Wroten said, “Because I was really interested in Kentucky and then he disappeared.” Maybe Louisville will be selected out of revenge? Also, He is listed as 6 foot 5 inches in the Times, I guess one extra inch can’t hurt in basketball. Go Red.
