Three hours walking and gawking around the new KFC Yum! Center.

Testing the court side seats, the luxury boxes, the ultra luxury boxes and then the “cheap” seats, all to the sight and sounds of the final game in Freedom Hall on the 18-ton video scoreboard.

So much to see, the views of the Ohio River, the non-stop graphics from the lobby to court side, the wide variety of concessions, bars and entertainment venues. Jim Host’s team has thought of everything and spared no expense.

The new arena is much more compact so fans will be a lot closer to the court. The place will be deafening when the University of Louisville basketball team gets on a roll.

For all the people who doubted they would live long enough to see it happen: Congratulations, you made it. The new arena exceeds all expectations, setting a standard that will be difficult for others to achieve on the collegiate level.
