Things that should happen but don’t stand a snowball’s chance in hell:

Give Bobby Knight an official’s uniform, let him demonstrate how a college basketball game should be officiated to give him a taste of his own medicine. Unfortunately, the first time a coach yells at him, Knight will slap him on the ears and shove him into the bench.

Also, Knight says many officials don’t know the rules. Maybe he could tell them the difference between a block and a charge. As it is now, no one ever knows which way the call will go.

Give Joey Dorsey, of Memphis, a retroactive flagrant foul and a two-game suspension for getting in the face of a Tennessee player as he was getting ready to shoot free throws. That kind of thuggery does not belong in college basketball.

Memphis coach John Caliperi needs to reimpose the ban on his players visiting Memphis nightclubs. The ban was lifted at the beginning of the basketball season.
