Following a 2-0 win over Villanova in the snow Saturday, the University of Louisville soccer team returns home Wednesday Thursday to begin play in the Big East Tournament.

The opponent will be either Georgetown, Notre Dame or Providence, depending on the outcome of Notre Dame’s game against Seton Hall Tuesday. Game time is 7 p.m.

After dropping out of the nation’s top five teams, most fans lost track. Louisville’s record is 11-5-2, with four of those losses administered by Big East teams.

  1. Looks like the men will most likely get a chance to roast the Friars, just like the women did Saturday. Big East tiebreaker is nowhere to be found on conference website, but assuming ND wins (likely), they jump ahead of Providece and Georgetown, by virtue of having beaten both. Providence beat G’town, so they get fifth and play the Cards. (Sort of like rock-paper-scissors.) Women earned themselves a chance to beat Notre Dame again in the Big East semis.
