So the University of Louisville vs. Notre Dame soccer game Saturday at 7 p.m. will be on something called the Fox Soccer Channel.

Third ranked vs. twelfth ranked, gotta see that. A search on the existing cable lineup, however, indicates  that Fox Soccer is an “On Demand” channel. See the dollar signs?

Not giving in that easily. A call to Insight Cable results in an incredible value. The observer and friends can upgrade from Insight’s old Lifestyle package with 20 channels a month to Insight’s new Digital Standard package with more than 50 new channels. For only $1 more per month.

And it includes not one but two Fox Soccer Channels — Channel 555 in standard and 921 in high definition — if one is using an Insight receiver (Sorry, but it doesn’t apply to the  mini digital converter boxes.) Plus, many more high definition channels, including three Big 10 network channels, Versus, National Geographic and much more.

That Insight telephone number is 357-4400. Bring on the Irish.
