Will Stein

Most fans thought Will Stein was already a scholarship player.

Will Stein

So the real news is that he wasn’t before today. Coach Charlie Strong has just awarded the former Trinity quarterback a scholarship to play football at the University of Louisville.

Seems like he’s been at U of L forever but Stein is only a sophomore.

  1. He was a freshman Creighton then. So your ‘complaints’ are even more impressive. Imagine what he could do under a proper coaching staff.

    1. Sorry dave had a bad night got a little too critical. I just thought deeper and got a little more frustrated when it occurred to me this was probably demar dorsey’s scholarship. Stein works hard just doesn’t have big east talent. Stein wasn’t impressive last year at all

      1. Or it is “barefoot” Payne’s scholarship, as he didn’t make the cut. I also believe some players who had a <1.0 GPA were let go.

  2. Yea last year when we were awful. We beat ark st by a td and lost to wvu with him. He should transfer to somehwere like eku or centre or college of the cumberlands if he wants a scholarship. Awful! Waste of a scholarship

  3. Amazing!! The guy was starting QB in games for us last year and he wasn’t even under scholarship!!!!
