Silos site may be available to UofL early next year

[stextbox id=”custom”]
The silos site adjacent to the University of Louisville may be available much sooner than anyone expected, if a comment made to Card Game on the recent post about Solae, Inc. is accurate:

I had to laugh when I read that it was a thriving business. They are planning to end production on 12/31/12. It can probably be purchased from DuPont who is the sole owner.

Thank you
Ronnie Sanders

If so, we wish the best for the Solae employees in managing the challenges that a business shutdown presents to all the individuals and families affected by the loss of jobs and income.

Let’s just hope the Historic Landmarks Commission doesn’t get involved and declare the silos to be an historic landmark.

Also keep Lee Corey and the River Fields group out of it.
