The day has arrived, no putting if off.
We’re going to miss seeing Becky Burke in a University of Louisville basketball uniform. Her contagious smile and her gung-ho attitude were major pluses for the University in all of her endeavors. She was to be honored during Senior Day ceremonies in a Noon game against DePaul at the KFC Yum! Center.
Fans will also miss seeing catch and shoot three-pointers, the likes of which are almost unrivaled in UofL women’s basketball history. This season she has connected on 67 of 175 attempts, 38.3% of them, while averaging 11.3 points per game.
We wish her well as she makes her way in the world, pulling for her continuous success.
