Ryan Mack Goes With Louisville

He was on a lot of recruiting lists — Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Southern Mississippi and West Virginia to mention just a few.

But the University of Louisville is where Ryan Mack, a 6-foot-4, 315-pound tackle from Memphis wants to play his college football, beginning with the 2011 season.

The big guy was in town with his family Friday, making his verbal commitment to Charlie Strong. One of the big selling points was the ability to start or at least see lots of action during his freshman year.

During the recent Byron De’Vinner Elite Prospect Combine, Mack was good for  29 feet in the power throw, recorded a 4.96 time in the 20-yard shuttle, and clocked 5.6 seconds in the 40-yard dash.
