Floyd Street was again under water Tuesday as torrential rains visited the Louisville area. This photo looking north was tweeted by Asia Taylor, a member of the University of Louisville women’s basketball team.

Hey, about the only thing Belknap Campus really lacks that many campuses enjoy is a lake, an idyllic attraction that could provide a romantic setting for students and visitors. Maybe Tom Jurich could even create a park with all the recent land acquisition. Should be no problem getting the water.

  1. Right next to the Ralph Wright Natorium. Maybe the Cards could offer rowing and outdoor swimming events on campus.

  2. The silos would be the perfect location for a lake, right beside I-65 making it impossible to not notice the University of Louisville campus. Landscape it, put in lots of trees and park benches, an Angel McCoughtry statue. Let’s do it.

  3. Great idea. Stock it with bass and we could give Kansas State some competition in the NCAA Bass Fishing competition.

  4. Hey, then we could have a water ski team! Can anyone say water volleyball? Just another reason to say Go Cards!
