Something to get those fans out of their seats. That’s what’s needed. Every bit of emotion counts.

The video introductions ushering the University of Louisville football team to the field this season are lacking any punch, adding little to nothing to a game environment that needs all it can get. Did they even have one for the Marshall game?

He hasn’t asked for any help but you can send your ideas to George Claiborne, the U of L football video assistant who produces the videos. His e-mail address is gbclai01@louisville.edu.

  1. Yeah, I thought that was a very weak video for pumping up the crowd. They should have gotten Tim Antkowiak to do it. It would have knocked the fans out of their seats.

This guy really knows music, sports and video editing. He’s right here in town. His work is as good as ESPN any day!

    1. I know your comment was only made in jest, but I work in Rubbertown and can atest that the two surviving rubber manufacturers (we are one of those)do not make rubber of the type that would likely be used in that product.

BTW, I concur that the Buble piece is a sleeper!

        1. Charlie –
Just finally getting to check back on my last comment and any follow-up…. Hey, no apology needed. I thought your comment was good humor…and I didn’t mean to sound thin skinned. I actually like hearing the “R” word used in good natured fun, as I took your statement to be.

  2. Seriously, how can they think Michael Buble would ever be a good idea, and get rid of churchill downs, it has nothing to do with U of L football

  3. I’m pretty sure it was pulled before the Marshall game. I don’t know if there’s a new one in the works, or not. But I agree, why reinvent the wheel? A loud, well-known rock song and some bonecrushing highlights. Done and done.

  4. Get rid of the horses and amp up the music, the Sandman is always good. I liked the parts from last year with the past coaches and the pros clip. Maybe look through past games and pick out the biggest and best hits doesnt have to be from this year or last.
