Tyler Ferguson is transferring from Penn State.

One day on the job and Bobby Petrino pulls in a four-star quarterback prospect for the University of Louisville football program. What’s he going to do tomorrow?

Tyler Ferguson, who has two years of eligibility, will be on campus Sunday and start classes on Monday, apparently having already gone through the registration process at warp speed. He’s transferring from Penn State where he was the backup signal caller.

He had been contacted by Petrino while he was still at Western Kentucky University, both deciding quickly that Ferguson would be coming along for the ride. He’ll sit out during the 2014 and have two years of eligibility starting in 2015.

Numbers? Mostly mop up at Penn State the past season, completing 10-of-15 passes for 155 yards and a touchdown. He’s 6-foot-3, weighing 213 pounds, a Bakersville, Calif., native raised in a family of seven siblings, three brothers, three sisters.
