A sophomore on the University of Louisville women’s golf team, she qualified for the US Women’s Amateur this week in Kansas. The U.S. Open is Aug. 6-12 at The Country Club in Cleveland.
Petrino qualified at the Meadowbrook Golf and Country Club in Shawnee Mission. She tied for second among the 35 golfers competing for four spots with a 71 in the round, finishing at even par.
