Evoking images of the frontiersmen, the rugged individuals who struck out on their own during the pioneer days, heading west to look for gold in California.

David Noltemeyer, however, is only looking for playing time with the University of Louisville football team. The 6-foot-4, 285-pound offensive lineman has yet to see any action as he enters his junior year.

He was a starting left tackle on St. X’s football team in 2009. His team defeated Trinity twice that season, 34-7 during the regular season and 34-10 in the 6A State Championship game.

Noltemeyer signed with the University of Kentucky out of high school, transferring to UofL the following season.
