The left side of the observer’s brain preoccupied over the past few days with the technical aspects of redesigning the web site.

He had no choice, the old three-year-old theme was bloated, sapping resources, slowing loading time to a crawl, and threatening to send Card Game into a proverbial landfill of discarded blog sites and the observer to a padded cell.

The left side and the right side of his brain don’t work well together. Over the weekend, some readers may have noticed extreme variations in looks of the site as the observer sought to make sense of web designer instructions, or the lack of them. Hopefully, the new design is close to being finalized, at least until a better one comes along, and he can focus on UofL sports again.

Along the way, the observer developed a relationship with Gameday Central for a new app that enables UofL fans to keep track of the latest posts on Card Game, Card Chronical, and GoCards.com. Just click on the GameDay Central ad in the right sidebar for the link to the I-Phone and Android versions.

  1. If Dyer plays by Strong’s rules the Cards will be fantastic this year. Good Luck!
