In less than 20 minutes. While the observer’s Internet was down, of course. 🙁  All is not lost, however. Fan day is Sunday, Aug. 12 from noon until 2:30 at PJCS.

  1. Tom Jurich has apologized to people who were frustrated by the ticket acquisition process. I wondered how that would go because I couldn’t imagine much preparation going into computer programming for $1 tickets. Pretty predictable.

  2. I was reading on another website(Card Chronicle) that many people purchased more then one ticket. One guy actually was charged for 4 tickets. Something was definetly wrong with the purchasing process this morning. If they correct the errors then more tickets may become available, but it’s gonna be quite a hassle changing all those credit card orders. If I didn’t have a ticket i’d try to get one of these people to have my bottle signed. Maybe even go down there on signing day and ask around. Phone #’s of extra ticket holders have popped up on the website. Good Luck.

  3. That website for the tickets was a train wreck.it didnt load right at all.the checkout button never loaded until i hit the submit button by the keyword tab, then i entered all my info and kept getting error messages.absolute nightmare. I’m hoping they might have another signing on another date.1400 is a ridiculously low number of bottles to sign out of 8400.

    1. I have a feeling he will be signing those bottles for years. It won’t be the same because Tom Jurich and the Maker’s Mark people will at the signing event Aug. 1.

  4. So on the August 14th fan day you will be allowed to have the bottle signed? That would be great as I was very disappointed with the bottle signing process…

    1. Mary, that would be my next step. But that’s presuming they don’t outlaw liquor at fan day. Lots of luck to both of us. Papa John’s Stadium does sell booze so that may not be a problem.

  5. Ran into trouble with the checkout button not loading on the screen until 09:10…nerves were shot.
Finally got thru and the ticket paid for…not impressed with the web admins beta testing of the site…not that I could do better…

Happy for me but sad for those (including you, Mr. Springer)that didn’t make the cutoff…
