Louisville won both ends of a doubleheader against West Virginia Saturday, 8-1 and 12-9.

  • Andrew Clark had another good day at the plate, going 4-for-9 with a home run, six RBI and three runs scored in the two wins. The senior first baseman is now hitting .368 overall with eight home runs and 33 RBI this season.
  • Saturday’s second game required 4 hours, 5 minutes to play for the Cardinals’ longest game of the season.
  • Louisville moved to within one game of BIG EAST Conference leaders Connecticut and Rutgers in the conference standings.
  • U of L and WV meet again at 1 p.m. Sunday.
