soccerA beautiful fall day for soccer at Cardinal Park for the final regular season game for the University of Louisville, which was hosting South Florida. But still another defensive struggle for 90 minutes and two 10-minute overtimes, the game finishing in a 0-0 tie.

The tie assured Louisville of a conference championship and the top seed in the upcoming American Athletic Conference Tournament.

Cardinal Park will be the site of the opening round game between the eighth and ninth seeds next Friday at 2 p.m., with the winner advancing to play UofL in the quarterfinal round on Saturday at 7 p.m.

The 11th ranked Cardinals finished the season with an 11-3-3 won-lost-tied record.  (Click on photo to enlarge).
