Two big snow games and two big losses for the University of Louisville lacrosse team in Colorado during the first and second games of the seasons. The UofL women lost 14-13 to Colorado and endured a 19-9 shellacking at Denver. More than enough of the snow, the mountains, the buffalo plains.

Three games at the Floyd Street stadium more to their liking, emerging with three consecutive wins — 18-9 over Marquette, 18-7 over Central Michigan and 14-7 over Virginia Teach last Saturday in the conference opening. The Cardinals are 3-2 overall, 1-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

They are led by Nicolette Peroni, a junior from Whitby, Ontario, with 19 points and Hanna Morris, a senior from Orillio, Ontario, with 17 points.
