A long day Saturday waiting to hear something. Nothing but the usual ups an downs that occur every time another school comes after a University of Louisville football coach.

No information coming from Charlie Strong. Nothing positive from UofL. Only leaks, wishful thinking and misinformation coming from Texas, intended to keep the pressure on the school’s most  recent coaching candidate.

Cardinal fans needed something positive to offset the 24 hours of uncertainty over the future of the program.  They would be disappointed if they expected the Louisville-Rutgers basketball game to provide any relief. The manner in which UofL defeated Rutgers, 83-76, may have only added to their concerns.

On this day the defending NCAA national champions looked out of sorts, pretty ordinary, like a team that will continue to struggle on the road this season, fortunate to survive against a team picked to finish last in the conference.

  1. On the other hand, the #7 Lady Cards soundly defeated their second AAC opponent, Cincy, with another high=scoring game from Shoni. Best news of the day: Antonita played and scored! Go Cards!
