In case anyone has forgotten, the University of Louisville is in the middle of a basketball season.
When we last checked, UofL was 19-4, second in the American Athletic Conference with a league mark of 8-2, Wayne Blackshear was recovering from a concussion, and Rick Pitino was trying to identify his most effective lineup.
The second of the two eight-day layoffs is almost over. Finally, UofL fans can get back into basketball.
They had better because the Cardinals will play three games in a period of six days — at Temple Thursday, and against Rutgers Sunday and South Florida Tuesday at the KFC Yum! Center.
Pitino was in a good mood at his Wednesday press conference:
Make that a 9-day layoff. Temple game postponed to Friday, due to weather today. The Temple “Whiteout” game gets whited out!
