Corey Ray, who has verbally committed to the University of Louisville, has been named to the roster for the Under Armour All-America baseball game to be played Aug. 18th at Chicago’s Wrigley Field.

Corey Ray

The left-handed outfielder from the Windy City helped lead his team to the city title by hitting.453, with six doubles, five triples, five homers and 35 runs batted in. He also scored 35 runs.

Ray is described thusly in an Under Armour news release:

He’s a quick-twitch athlete who profiles as a top-of-the-order bat at the next level. He has a short, quick left-handed stroke that results in line drives to all fields. He has excellent range in the outfield and his instincts and arm allow him to play all three outfield spots.

The game is the culmination of a four-day baseball celebration, including a formal workout for Major League Baseball (MLB) scouts and a home run derby. The game will start 12:30 p.m. CST and air live nationally on the MLB Network.
