This weekend the University of Louisville welcomes 2,600 new freshmen to the campus, the largest incoming class in the university’s history. The group also happens to be the most academically proven as well, with an average ACT score of 24.4. uofl

The registrar uses the term “academically gifted” but that’s a subjective term, omitting average students who work extra hard to get good grades. At any rate, the average is higher than last year’s ACT average of 24.3, and substantially higher than the national average of 21.1 and state average of 20.9.

Welcome freshmen.  The first rule for you guys from out in the state is to never, ever wear a UK jersey on Belknap Campus. The second is to get your UofL gear ASAP. Classes begin Monday, buckle down, this is serious stuff.

Your Saturdays are all mapped out for you, with eight home football games this fall. Get there early, fill up the student section and raise holy hell.

You’re Card fans now. Congratulations.
